Jeff reported that he was making good progress with the new South Wales Wings Website. For now, it would not be possible to access the Website via Google, hopefully that will follow. Ten pages have been created so far and now he is looking for South Walians to provide him with photos and articles. The new Website will not be as large as the previous one but will be sufficient for our needs. If you provide photos, please give them a specific name as using image as an identifier will mean a lot of work tracking them. Jeff was thanked by the meeting for his work so far. Remember the website is called www.south-wales-wings.co.uk and the member’s page password is gl1800.
The South Wales Wings Leaflet for new Goldwing owners is still available from Barry.

Barry provided a further update on South Wales Wing Ding 12 to 17 July 2022 at The Glascoed Pub. We need to make a decision on our theme for the Help Guide flyer. Malcolm reminded us that it was Bob Carter’s wish for the abandoned 2020 Wing Ding had been Knights of the Welsh Round Table – knights and maiden’s fancy dress. Members were asked to let Barry know soonest their ideas.
Your GWOCGB Membership Renewal is due on 1 January, 2022. If you have renewed your Bank Standing Order your money will be taken from your account on or about 15 December, 2021. Renewal Forms are available on line from the GWOCGB Website or from Barry. You can pay by BACS.
A suggestion had been received from Karen concerning an additional selected charity for 2022, it is called Mental Health Motorbike. The Nationwide registered charity provides a unique combination of support to its members to ensure they are not left alone or behind in dealing with a difficult mental health situation. Their base is Chesterfield, but volunteers are available countrywide with our contact being based in Bristol. As the charity has only recently been granted charitable status very little financial information is available. Following a discussion, it was agreed to postpone any decision about accepting them as our charity until much more general information became available. It was noted that Karen and Mark were very impressed with the level of support they offered to the motor cycling community.
Barry thanked everyone who had kindly donated Christmas gifts to the Care Homes in the vicinity. It was agreed that we would support the Care Homes in Cwmaman, Mountain Ash and Maesycwmmer. Christine, Malcolm and Roger agreed to arrange the deliveries to the respective Homes.
