1 We welcomed twenty-four members to the meeting, a very good turn-out. It was especially good to see Nigel there.
2 Apologies had been received from Bill & Pinky, Harry & Gaynor, Bob & Sonja, Ian & Jayne, Sarah, John and Ken.
3 Barry announced the sad news of the recent death of Pinky/Jane Bailey’s Mum at age 102. A condolences card has been sent on behalf of the Region.
4 Barry reminded members that the renewal of GWOCGB 2023 Membership was due on or about 15 December, 2022. Renewal forms were available from the GWOCGB Website or from Barry & Malcolm.
5 The calendar of events taking place in GWOCGB and GWEF is now available on the GWOCGB Website and starting to fill up if you want to update your 2023 diaries.
6 No invitation to take part in Caerphilly’s River of Light Lantern Parade on Saturday 3 December, 2022 had been received as the decided route was unsatisfactory for vehicles including Wings.
7 Malcolm reported on the very satisfactory South Wales Wings Christmas Away Weekend that had taken place at The Sandringham Hotel, Weston-Super-Mare over the weekend 9 to 11 December, 2022. Sixteen members had been able to attend a most enjoyable weekend, the food being good, the accommodation clean and tidy and the company amazing. It was a pity other members could not attend such a nice occasion.
8 An invitation had been received from Jeff to attend the Santa Escort at Bishton, Newport on Sunday 18 December, 2022 from 1700 to 1900. Jeff provided more details at the close of the meeting for those interested in attending.
9 We have received an Invitation to attend the South Wales Classic Car Club Show at Cardiff City Football Stadium on Sunday, 14 May, 2023, 1100 to 1600. More details to follow.

a. Jeff reported that he had changed the password for the Member’s section of the South Wales Wings Website. With immediate effect the password is now GL18OO not gl1800
13 We celebrated Gerald’s 79th birthday for 12 December, 2022 in the usual way.
14 Barry thanked all those attending for the very large supply of gifts that had been donated to the three Care Homes in the area that we support. Chris, Malcolm and Roger kindly offered to make the delivery of the gifts within a couple of days.
15 Barry also thanked the attendees for all the wonderful donated food that we would share together after the meeting. It was a fantastic spread.
16 The raffle raised £36 for Regional funds, thanks to all who brought prizes and purchased tickets.
17 Thanks were also given to those members who donated money in lieu of giving members Christmas cards.
18 Barry, on behalf of the Regional Officers, wished everyone a Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.
