1 We welcomed nineteen members to the meeting and a guest named Bruno, the owner of an 1800 Trike.

3 Barry reported on the South Wales Classic Car Show held earlier in the day at Cardiff City Football Stadium. The Region had been represented by five Wings and we also were delighted to have a visitor as well. Myra won an award for Best Category in Show. A good day was had by all although it was a little cold – our position was out of the sun.
4 A reminder that the Panteg House Classic Car Show at Griffithstown will take place this Saturday, 20 May, 2023, 1100 to 1700. For those who have indicated they are available please meet McDonalds Car Park, New Inn. Pontymoile, A4042, NP4 0XB at 1030 sharp.
5 We have received an invitation to attend the National Gardens Open Day at St Peters Church, Mill Road, Dinas Powys on Sunday 11 June, 2023 1400 to 1600. As interest was indicated, for those available, please meet at Barry’s 8 St Teilo Close, Dinas Powys, CF64 4TY at 1330.
6 We now have ten members attending the Dutch Treffen at De Steeg, travelling Dover to Calais via Euro Tunnel out on Wednesday, 24 May, 2023 returning Bank Holiday Monday 29 May, 2023.
7 The Vale of Glamorgan Classic Car Show will take place at Sully on Bank Holiday Monday 29 May, 2023 1000 to 1600. Tickets for those indicating an interest have already been circulated. As Barry is not around, please liaise between yourselves for a meet up point enabling you to go to the Show in convoy.
8 We have received an invitation to attend the Field of Dreams Classic Vehicle Show at Riverside Caravan Park, Morriston, Swansea, SA6 6QL. Sunday 16 July, 2023 1000 to 1600. (Clashes with Capital Wing Ding). As no interest was indicated we will not be attending.

10 The GWOCGB British Treffen will take place at Uttoxeter Racecourse, Thursday 24 to Bank Holiday Monday 28 August, 2023. Pre-Inscription Forms are now on line.

12 Barry reported on a Monthly Bulletin which had been received from the Barry Food Bank. It was noted that the need for Food Banks was increasing due to the country’s economic uncertainty and the need for support was therefore essential. Unfortunately, due to a change in the manufacturing process at Unilever, our supply of Pot Noodles had been considerably reduced in recent weeks. It was hoped that this situation would improve over time.
13 An Emergency First Aid Course has now been booked for Thursday 16 November, 2023 from 0930 to 1630 at Dinas Powys. Definite names to Barry soonest please.

a. Kelvyn reported that a Classic Car Show will be held at Abertillery Rugby Club on Saturday 17 June from 0930 to 1600 for anyone interested. The venue is behind the doctor’s surgery at Foundry Bridge (Classes with Centre Wing Ding).
b. It was suggested that we hold a Christmas Meal at the Toby Carvery in Caerphilly sometime in December. The restaurant having provided the “Dutch Treffen crowd” with a very nice and economic meal. To be discussed further.
c. Roger confirmed that our Bowling Social evening would start again at Parc Nantgarw, Treforest Trading Estate on Tuesday, 16 May, 2023, please meet at 1900.
d. Malcolm reported on the GWOCGB AGM that was held in April, 2023 in Bromsgrove. The minutes of the meeting can be found on the GWOCGB Website under Gen Sec section.
e. It is possible that a Run-Out will be arranged as part of the Llandudno Light Parade weekend in September. More details to follow.
f. Ex member Keith Williams is selling his 2000 GL1500SE X and colour matching trailer. If interested, more details from Barry.
g. Roger is selling his 2013 GL1800 Gen 2 solo Wing for £12.5K, if interested, please contact him.
