3 We still have a vacancy for an Assistant Regional Rep. Are there any volunteers?
4 Blood Bikes Wales will be presented with their £250 AGM agreed donation at the February meeting.
5 Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Region instead of buying Christmas Cards for the South Walians, this year we raised £50.00.
6 Thank you also to everyone who has brought biscuits and chocolate selection boxes for our chosen Care Homes. Christine and Malcolm have delivered them all and we have received thank you letters/cards.
7 2024 possible dates for a Show with Merthyr Scooter Club at the Labour Club, Merthyr Tydfil have been provided, please watch this space for a precise Saturday date.
8 GWOCGB Membership fees are now due, several of you have renewed but some are still outstanding. Please remember cost this year is £28 single, £35 Joint. No need for a Membership Form if all your details have not changed, just send the money to Pat Helm, Membership Secretary by post or by BACS.
9 The Treffen Pre-Inscription form is now available on the GWOCGB Website. It is £50 per person at Rutland Showground on the August Bank holiday weekend.
10 We have received an invitation to provide a Wing escort at the funeral of Mrs Anne Townsend, Ken’s wife. The funeral is on Monday 22 January, 2024 at Coity Crematorium, Bridgend at 1415. We will meet up beforehand once the Funeral Directors have confirmed arrangements Please watch this space.
11 We have also received an invitation to attend the Vale of Glamorgan Classic Car Show on Bank Holiday Monday 27 May, 2024 at Sully. 1000 to 1700. Names urgently please as individual forms will need completing soonest.
12 We have also received an invitation to attend the Prescott Bike Festival in Gloucestershire on Sunday, 23 June 2024, 0830 to 1700, all proceeds to Blood Bikes. It is quite a journey but any interested members to contact Barry.
13 The meeting agreed to invite Chrystal, the Weston Away Weekend singer, to provide our July Wing Ding entertainment on the Saturday evening, 20 July, 2024 at Caerphilly RFC. The inclusive cost will be £220 for two 45-minute slots.
It was also agreed that for our Wing Ding we approach Caerphilly RFC with a view to changing the location of one set of toilets and showers as some of the ones we used in 2022 are no longer being used by the rugby club and would have deteriorated.
It was further agreed that the Wing Ding goodie bag be made smaller than previously, quality rather than quantity.
14 Sponsorship is required for our Wing Ding in view of some of the likely high costs so please let Barry or Malcolm know if you know of anyone who might be interested.
15 No one in the meeting was interested in an Aberdare based 1989 GL1200 Interstate Wing with 33,500 miles on the clock as a restoration project, noting that it had been left under a temporary cover for ten years. Anyone not at the meeting interested, please contact Barry who has photographs.

a. Malcolm mentioned that it was Christine’s birthday next week, so we wished her a Happy Birthday with a signed card.
19 The raffle raised £20.32 for regional funds, thanks to Christine and all who brought prizes and purchased tickets.
